Or I guess C&C Music Factory could have been a nice stand in.
Check this out.
I'm in the drug store. I had heard about this miracle moisturizer. A little pricey, but everything worth having is, right? [/sarcasm]
As fate would have it, I had a coupon. My plan was to max it out. I should be able to get a YOOGE stash for $16.99, I thought.
I saw it on the shelf. It was $16.99 exactly. It wasn't that big. Hm.
I unscrewed the top. I expected to see gold flecks inside.
Nope. It was sealed.
I bought it anyway.
I even had to pay $2 in tax for it. Not part of the plan.
I get home and feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I couldn't wait to rip off the seal and see the magic inside.
Wait.
It looks like...like...Vaseline?
Seriously?!
The Vaseline I have is akin to a family heirloom. I don't remember buying it, but in my mind, my grandmother did so back in 1946 for some unknown reason and then it was passed through the generations until it landed in my medicine cabinet. It's still 75% full because I really don't know what to do with it other than smear it on my lips when they're chapped and on my eyebrows when they're unruly. I think I used it back in high school when I couldn't be bothered to shine my shoes for ROTC inspections. But other than that? Eh.
If you've got some secret remedies or success stories for either product, please do tell!

Hmmm. I use Aquafor every night on my lips when I go to bed to prevent chapped-ness. Is it really the same exact thing as Vaseline? Didn't know that.
I had to have some Aquafor for Cali when I heard rave reviews as well. I don't care for it at all! It's so greasy & hard to smear (IMO). It really really does feel just like Vaseline as a matter of fact as well. Hmph, coould have saved like $15 there!!
Hmmm...The only things I use vaseline for are kinda gross (diaper rash, circumcision wounds, temperature taking up the bum) so yeah...no clue.
We actually had to use eucerin on cameron when his exzema was really bad and for gabby when she was first born and was all peely. You're actually supposed to rub that stuff all over your face? Let me know if it works! :)
I've used both and I think the Aquaphor works much better. Of course, I'm probably telling myself that to justify the price. Yes, petroleum jelly is the active ingredient, but there's other stuff in there too. Magic ingredients.
Evan has those chapped DS cheeks, and Aquaphor works really well on that, as long as it's applied several times a day. Yes, he looks like a grease monkey for a little while, but the alternative is worse.
