Remember the sleep study?

I (finally) just got a call with the results: Mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

The first available appointment was about a month from now. I snatched it up and put us on the waiting list for cancellations.

So, for those of you that have been there/done that, was "mild" enough to bring on the T&A surgery? Is really funky recovery breath possibly in our future? Or are there other approaches that you've witnessed?

My daughter had a sleep study done in May and we received the same results. Since it was a mild case, her ENT recommended we try to shrink her adenoids via Nasonex nasal spray. He said it's a 50/50 chance it may work. We have a follow up appointment in August to see.

we haven't had a sleep study done, but Brooke just had her adenoids out for chronic sinus infections...super easy recovery since the tonsils weren't involved, a four hour nap and then back to normal..but the funky breath? hung out for days...

Morgan had a T&A for mild obstructive sleep apnea. Her follow up sleep study still showed some obstructions but her oxygen levels stayed in the mid 90's all night after the procedure. I think they emwrnt into the mid 80's pre-surgery. We just did another sleep study (6 years later) since they recommend annual sleep studies abd we were long overdue. She still has mild sleep apnea but does fine as long as she isn't in her back. Still haven't figured out how to keep her off her back though.
