I meant to post this the other day. Y'all know I've been slacking so…
I owe you a post on and the last six months of kindergarten. Now that school is over, I'll get that up soon.
Playette got out of school early today. She'll get out of school early for the rest of the week, up until the final day of school on Friday.
So, because of that slight change in schedule, she happened to be sitting in the kitchen while I was feeding Dez his lunch.
And while she waited for our undivided attention, she perused the latest issue of ESPN magazine. You know, like any other five-year-old.
I heard her start talking about ants…and hot dogs. So I stopped and turned my attention to what she was doing.
Apparently, the picture in the magazine was very distressing to her. It was an ad for Oscar Mayer. In her mind, there were ants crawling all over the hot dog and that was all kinds of not right. I tried to convince her that they weren't ants, but she looked at me like I was crazy. Her face was all, "What do you mean seeds? Seeds go in dirt, not on hot dog buns."
She cracks me up.
